FESTIVAL OCCIDENTE – KAINUA 2009
Marzabotto (BO) June 26th/28th 2009
The Festival "KAINUA" 2009, will take place in June from the 26th to the 28th. It willto see how people lived in Italy in ancient time: in particular it will be reenact the meeting of Etruscan civilization, Gallic tribes and Rome, to the resulting peculiar Italic identity, close to the ancient archaeological Etruscan acropolis and museum. Theis organized with the contribution of Etruscan Museum ofMarzabotto Municipality, The Province of Bologna and the Ministry of Culture (MIBAC).
During the Festival it will be possible to eat Italian food, drink typical local wine, listen to live music and try a lot of different activities in connection with the theme of the festival.It will also be possible to assist to conferences for non Italian speaking visitors on the Etruscan Civilisation and their Sacred Knowledge.
HOW TO ARRIVE
This in a close to little town of Marzabotto (Appennino Mountains), not far from Bologna, 10 minutes from the principal "dorsal" italian street (A1 – Autostrada del Sole), very easy to reach. By car you can arrive taking the exit “Sasso Marconi” and the indications to Marzabotto.
It's possible to arrive by airplane (and than by the AIRBUS to the train station) or by train to the Bologna train station (for train info: www.trenitalia.it) and take a bus (Number 92 in Indipendenza Street, direction “Marzabotto” - see at www.atc.bo.it)navigator, the destination is Marzabotto, street: Matteotti 9Google Earth you can find the place here:Lat.44°20'23.45"N Long.11°12'36.81"EOr searching just "Marzabotto".
WHERE TO SLEEP
For accommodation, it's possible to stay with your own tents in a free area near the festival (with all the services and facilities of a camping area, but without surveillance) prepared by the Municipality for the event, or stay in an hotel or to enjoy "agri-tourism" in Marzabotto (see the page “dove dormire”). The altitude is around 450 meters from sea level, and it's quite warm (25°C, windy, but you have to use sun protection).
